We had a wonderful christmas at home with just the family; the kids got up at a leisurely 7:30am, and we opened presents until breakfast at 9:00am. We had fresh fruit, and homemade biscuits with venison sausage, eggs, and bacon (good stuff!) We continued to open presents one at a time - complete with thanks and hugs until my loving hubby got tired of how long it was taking, and tried to declare a free-for-all at lunch time. I chose to over-ride that option and we finished up shortly after lunch. We spent the rest of the day playing with toys(E regaled everyone with his hulk fists), card games (A LOVES 'blink'), gadgets (D went NUTS for his mp3player) and puzzles(C had lots of fun with her pony puzzle - carries it with her everywhere!)
Before:
(ya just gotta love our christmas tree...)

C - wearing her candy necklace and carrying around her Dora animal crackers

E - really liked his new battery-powered toothbrush

A - stocking time - books and 'blink'
D - posin' (YOU TOO can have this hair style with merely a few twists of the finger)
