Happy Birthday - A!!

A had a wonderful 6th birthday! She got training wheels, tassels, and a basket to put on D's old bike to make it 'HERS', and got a new pink helmet. She got some new cute t-shirts, new hair bands, butterfly barrettes, and a set of fairy books, complete with fairy necklace. Her favorite 'toy' though, was the fairy she's holding in her hand - the wings and lock of hair change color with hot and cold water. A and D have had an awesome time playing with it!

Fishin' at the Dix

So,... we got to go fishing last week as a family to the Dix river - out in Boyle County? KY. It was a relatively cool day, we didn't catch much as the river was pretty muddy - the trees out in the middle of the river are where the river bank NORMALLY is. The kids had a wonderful time being outside - we had a little picnic out there, and the older kids got to take pictures of the wildflowers next to the trail; while the little kids picked, sniffed, tromped, and otherwise 'loved' on the flowers. Surprisingly enough, none of the kids got wet :-) Likely because it was so chilly. Still,... it made for much easier time keeping track of the munchkins!
